There aren't many in this world that to me, equal Christina Lindberg, its not the whole former sexploitation star thing, its what she's done with her life after those days were over for her that makes me see Christina has the beautiful person that she is, I'd rank her second to Maila Nurmi in my all time favorites if I had to put ranks to names, she's gone on to become so much more then a woman who while young took her clothing off on film, she's been a writer, a singer, a newscaster, political activist, and editorialist, she's had dreams and never let anything get in the way of those dreams, she is truly an insperation with all she's had happen in life. I, as all should, respect her for that, specially sense through it all, she's not forgotten any of her fans.
If you aren't a very large movie fanatic, or know someone that is, you might not have ever heard of Christina, and thats ok, she's one of the many forgotten goddesses of the silver screen, you can see her work in movies such as "Thriller: A Cruel Picture", also called "They Called Her One Eye" which is the inspiration for the Kill Bill movies, as well as cult classics "Sex and Fury", "Exposed: Diary of a Rape", "Young Playthings", "Sex At The Olympics", "Anita", abd many others. There isn't really alot of work to Christina's career, but what there is, its amazing. Alot of people might quip and say its silly to champion alot of women from the sexploitation era, but its just so amazing the way she has taken it all and made so much from it. Christina to this day still answers emails and letters from fans, and still goes to conventions and meets and greets, and loves those who made her famous, which I think is a great thing, so many older actresses who faded away with time have grown bitter and no longer wish to deal with the fans... but not Christina, and thats why I love her so. I've emailed with her back and forth for about a year now, and I find her to be so great.
Seriously, if you haven't seen her work, even if you don't like stuff thats dark and gritty and risque, you should give her a look, if just for how she literally ignites every frame of film that she is on.. beautiful woman, and such a beautiful soul she has.
